From Folk News
No 17 1978
Every month in ?Folk News' there were pages of listings for folk clubs
and they were all free! All you had to do was to send the details up to
Karl Dallas and he printed them. I made sure that the Royal Oak in
Lewes was always in there, but looking through each month's entry, this
one caught my eye of our programme from a mere 34 years ago. I found it
particularly interesting because at this year's Lewes Folk Festival
(11-14 October) we will have an evening with Bob Lewis and The Young
Coppers at the Royal Oak, both The Broadwood Morris and The Knots of
May will be dancing at the festival and the week after the festival we
will be presenting Chris Foster!
Continuity, eh?
